No Durga Puja celebration is complete without the Bhog, the sacred food offered to Goddess Durga. At Sur-O-Dhwani Foundation, we believe in bringing the community together through the sharing of this blessed meal. Bhog is distributed to all devotees on Saptami, Ashtami, Navami, and Dashami, allowing everyone to partake in the festival’s spiritual essence.

The traditional Bhog includes dishes like khichuri, labra (mixed vegetable curry), payesh (rice pudding), and sweets, all prepared with devotion and care by our team of volunteers.

10. Maha Visarjan & Sindoor Khela

Date: 12th October 2024
Time: 5:00 PM onwards
Venue: Bhavana Model School, Khajaguda

Event Overview:

The last day of Durga Puja culminates in the grand Maha Visarjan, the emotional farewell to Goddess Durga as she embarks on her journey back to Mount Kailash. Before the visarjan, we’ll have the traditional Sindoor Khela, where married women apply sindoor (vermillion) to the goddess and to each other, signifying marital bliss and prosperity.

The event is filled with emotions, as devotees gather to say their goodbyes, with the hope that Maa Durga will return again next year in our upcoming event.
